The building is made up of five glass-enclosed volumes strung together along a sinuous covered walkway that follows the contours of its beautiful Connecticut area.  The River Building’s roof is made of Structurlam’s mass timber on the underside and metal on top.

The Innovation Centre is an office and state-of-the-art convening centre whose main purpose is to demonstrate how deep green buildings are designed, contracted, constructed, and occupied. Constructed using both Crosslam CLT and Glulam beams, this building serves as a living lab for sustainable construction.
