As of 2018, Oregon is home to both the tallest and the largest CLT structure in the United States: Carbon12 and First Tech Federal Credit Union, respectively. Since our first CrossLam project was built at the Oregon Zoo in 2014, Structurlam has completed many impressive projects in Oregon. Now home to the International Mass Timber Conference, Portland is building a reputation as the epicenter for mass timber construction in the United States for both its expertise and its spotlighted projects. It is exciting to see this “timber town” embracing this new environmentally-minded and technologically-savvy approach.
