Praise for Rocky Ridge

October 30, 2017News

Rocky Ridge Recreational Centre in Calgary has reached Substantial Completion and will be occupied by the Calgary YMCA in the coming months. The facility is one of the largest projects in Western Canada to use the mass timber product, glue-laminated timber (Glulam). Requiring almost two years to design and produce, the Rocky Ridge roof consists of 2,000 wood members, where no two are the same.

The facility will be open on January 15, 2018, and will provide recreational opportunities and public space to Calgary’s northwest.
